2020 Spring Chinese Language School

 

This Chinese Language School has classes for kids, teenage and non Chinese speakers. Students may choose a class which most fits their Chinese Language skills and interests from the various classes listed below.

 

 

Kids Class A:

Content:                                 Classic stories with pictures for kids

Objectives:                            

  1. Understanding the contents of picture books
  2. Answering simple questions related to stories
  3. Reading and writing simple Chinese characters in the book

Requirements:                      

  1. Age: 3 to 5 years old
  2. Basic listening comprehension of Chinese Language
  3. Basic understanding abilities

 

Kids Class B:

Content:                                 Chinese history stories

Objectives:                

  1. Understanding the historical background of the stories
  2. Understanding the theme and truth of the stories
  3. Reading and writing Chinese characters in the story book

Requirements:                      

  1. Age: 6 to 10 years old
  2. A certain level of understanding and analysis ability
  3. Interested in history

 

Kids Class C:

Content:                                 Tang Poems

Objectives:                            

  1. Understanding the meaning of ancient poems
  2. Expressing the meaning of each poem by drawing
  3. Reading some Chinese characters in poems and trying to recite ancient poems

Requirements:                      

  1. Age:above 3 years old
  2. Basic perceiving and understanding skills
  3. Interested in drawing

 

Teenage Class A:

Content:                                 Chinese textbook for Grade 2 and relevant exercises

Objectives:               

  1. Consolidating and improving the knowledge, and basic understanding the content of the textbook
  2. Verbal description of content of an article, or pictures with simple sentences
  3. Building up a solid foundation and desires for further Chinese language study

Requirements:                      

  1. School-aged children who had completed Grade 1 in China
  2. Local Canadian children with basic Chinese communication skills

Teenage Class B:

Content:                    Chinese textbook (1) for Grade 3 and relevant exercises

Objectives:               

  1. Consolidating and improving the knowledge, and basic understanding the content of the textbook
  2. Verbal description of content of an article, or pictures with simple sentences
  3. Building up a solid foundation and desires for further Chinese language study

Requirements:                      

  1. Above 10 years old
  2. Basic Chinese language and communication skills

 

Teenage Class C:

Content:                    Chinese textbook (2) for Grade 3 and relevant exercises

Objectives:               

  1. Studying advanced Chinese, including classical Chinese literature works and relevant historical knowledge
  2. Improving reading and writing skills
  3. Preparing for HSK (Level 3 and Level 4).

Requirements:                      

  1. Above 10 years old
  2. Communicating and studying in fluent Chinese language

Non Chinese Speaker Class A:

Content:                    HSK L1 textbooks and some elementary vocabularies in book named ‘Happy Learning Chinese’

Objectives:                

  1. Basic knowledge of Chinese.
  2. Communicating by vocabularies and sentence pattern learned
  3. Preliminary understanding of the difference between Chinese and Western languages and cultures

Requirements:                      

  1. Beginners of Chinese language
  2. Having difficulties in self-learning Chinese language

Non Chinese Speaker Class B:

Content:                                 HSK L2 and L3 textbooks

Objectives:               

  1. Improving Chinese language skills in of listening, speaking, reading and writing
  2. Preparing for HSK (Level 1 Level 2 Level 3)

Requirements:                      

  1. Local Canadian interested in learning Chinese language
  2. Basic Chinese language and communication skills

Totally 12 classes, every Sunday, from March 15 to June 14, 2020  ( No class on April 12 and May 17 )

大圣约翰中华文化协会汉语语言及中华文化课程

本学期的汉语课分为少儿班、少年班和对外汉语班。按不同的内容与要求,每个大班又分为A,B和C三个小班。家长可以根据孩子自身的年龄特点、汉语水平以及兴趣点来选择适合自己孩子的班级,入学后老师也会根据孩子的情况和家长商量进行班级调整。

少儿A班:

内容与选材:          幼儿经典绘本

目标与要求:          1、理解绘本内容;

2、能回答与绘本有关的简单问题;

3、认识并书写绘本中简单的汉字。

建议与提示:          1、年龄3-5岁;

2、能听懂简单的汉语;

3、有基本的理解能力。

少儿B班:

内容与选材:          中华历史小故事

目标与要求:    1、了解故事发生的历史背景;

2、感悟故事中蕴含的道理;

3、认识并书写故事中的汉字。

建议与提示:          1、年龄6-10岁;

2、有一定程度的理解与分析能力;

3、对历史感兴趣。

 

少儿C班:

内容与选材:          唐诗三百首

目标与要求:    1、理解古诗的含义;

2、能用绘画的形式表达每句诗的意思;

3、认识诗中的若干汉字并尝试背诵古诗。

建议与提示:          1、年龄3岁以上;

2、有基本的认知和理解能力;

3、对绘画感兴趣。

 

少年A班:

内容与选材:          人教版语文二年级课本与配套练习

目标与要求:          1、巩固提高已有知识,基本掌握本册课本内容;

2、能口述表达完整文章或用简单句子描述图片;

3、为升班打下坚实基础并激发学习汉语的兴趣。

建议与提示:    1、国内学过一年级课程的适龄儿童;

2、或有一定会话能力的加拿大当地儿童。

少年B班:

内容与选材:          人教版语文三年级(上)课本与配套练习,复习二年级生字与作品

目标与要求:          1、巩固提高已有知识,基本掌握本册课本内容;

2、能口述表达完整文章或用简单句子描述图片;

3、为升班打下坚实基础并激发学习汉语的兴趣。

建议与提示:    1、年龄10岁以上;

2、有一些汉语基础,能够用汉语做基本的交流。

少年C班:

内容与选材:          人教版语文三年级(下)课本与配套练习,复习以前所学生字与作品

目标与要求:          1、学习高级汉语,包括中国古典文学作品与相关史学知识等;

2、提高阅读和写作水平;

3、准备汉语等级考试HSK(3级4级)。

建议与提示:          1、年龄10岁以上;

2、能熟练运用汉语交流学习。

对外汉语A班:

内容与选材:          HSK L1教材以及《快乐学汉语》中部分初级词汇

目标与要求:          1、掌握汉语基本常识;

2、能运用所学句型词汇对话;

3、初步认识中西语言文化差异。

建议与提示:          1、适于汉语零基础学习者;

2、尝试自学但有困惑学习者。

 

对外汉语B班:

内容与选材:          HSK2 或者 HSK3教材(视学生水平决定),复习扩展相关词汇句型

目标与要求:          1、从听说读写各方面提高汉语水平;

2、准备汉语等级考试HSK(1级2级3级)。

建议与提示:    1、针对于有兴趣学习汉语的当地人;

2、有一些汉语基础,能够用汉语做基本的交流。

每周日,共12课。2020年3月15日至6月14日(其中4月12日、5月17日放假停课)
